PAPERLESS POOL 2000 RULES

To participate in this pool you must have Internet access and an email address
(Use of Citibank's on-line facilities for pool activities is prohibited)


Each week during the 2000 season a picksheet will be provided on-line at our exclusive website.

Each entrant will submit a picksheet indicating his/her choices to win each week's games.

Pointspreads will be used.

Picks must be submitted through the pool's website.

Failure to submit a pick sheet for a given week will result in the player receiving "default" picks.

Default picks are all underdog teams and tiebreaker points of zero.

Default entries are NOT eligible for weekly prizes.
 

SUBMITTING PICKS

1- To enter picks, go to the website  http://members.tripod.com/pix499  and click on "This Weeks Picksheet"

2- Select your user name from the dropdown list

3- Enter your email address to have a confirmation returned to you

4- You must make a selection for every game and include the Monday Night total points for the tiebreaker

5- When complete, click on "submit picks".
 

DEADLINES

Selections must be received by Saturday 6:00PM Eastern Time.

No entries will be accepted after the weekly pool has been closed.

If Thursday Night games are scheduled, picks are due on Thursday by 6:00PM.

Any changes to submission deadlines will be announced with sufficient lead time.

Thanksgiving Day rules will be be announced.
 

REPORTS

A recap with each participant's picks will be available on-line  after all picks sheets are received

It will be your option to retrieve this recap from the website

Weekly and Season Standing sheets will be available on the website on Tuesday

Participants should review sheets for accuracy

Immediately report any discrepancies
 

POINTSPREADS and TIES

The published pointspreads will be applied to the actual game results

Should there be any tie games (after the spread is applied) they will be counted in the standings as ties

If two or more players tie for the most wins, total points for the Monday night game will be used as the tiebreaker

In the event of a tie within the tiebreaker, prize money will be combined and divided equally among the tied players
 

CUMULATIVE STANDINGS

At the end of the season, based on number of entrants, one or more players will be eligible for season prizes

The number of prize winners is dependent upon the number of entries
 

TIEBREAKERS

The tiebreaker for annual prizes will be as follows

The difference between the points scored by both teams in the Monday night game and the prediction made by each player will be averaged and the player with the lowest weekly average (if involved in a tie for a money position) will be the winner

Should there be a tie within the tiebreaker, prize money will be combined and split accordingly

This will not apply for last place prize money. Those tied for last place will simply split the prize money.
 

FEES & PRIZES

Entry fee will be $185.

Minimum payment of $90 is due by 9/2/00 (Week  #1)

Balance of entry fee must be paid by 9/30/00 (Week #5)

Prizes will be awarded for weekly winners as well as for the overall season high scorer(s).

Prizes will be announced when the total number of participants is known.

A prize list will be distributed to all participants.
